Transcript for "Claude vs. ChatGPT: The Ultimate Apollo MCP Showdown": you go. Hello. Hello, everybody. Welcome to this webinar. We're so excited to have you all here. This is the Claude versus ChatGPT, the ultimate Apollo MCP showdown. We are so excited about this. Honestly, I have gotten a lot of requests to do a webinar that is kind of like this. I think a lot of people are using both ChatTpT and Claude, and I think, honestly, it's, it kind of goes back and forth between who's popular. And so, without further ado, let's jump in. We got a couple of different, warm up questions here for you first. Let's talk through. Okay. Team, Claude, or team ChatGPT? Who do you got? Go ahead and throw it in the chat. Let me know what you're thinking. Are you a big fan of of Chad GPT or Claude? Which one? Claude, Chad GPT. Some people say neither? You're crazy. Claudia, Chad GPT. Honestly, I use both of them. It kinda just depends on the task. But, honestly, that might change depending on what, our special guest, goes into. Okay. So team Claude. Wow. Pretty much, handily beating ChatGPT right now. Very interesting. I'm curious how this, demo is going to if it's going to change anybody's minds. Before we jump in, I also wanna just kinda get a quick sense. How how where are y'all, calling in from? Which, city, your country would love to kinda get a sense from from y'all where you're where you're at right now? Let's see. Oh, they're flooding in US, Denver, Brazil, Indiana. Cool. I am calling in from Traverse City, Michigan, if anybody's familiar with that area. Northern Michigan, right up against Lake Michigan. Nice little beach town. If you ever get the chance to visit, highly recommend it. Only in the summer, though. It can get a little chilly, in the wintertime, so I don't know if I would recommend that. And the last but not least, I would say, how how familiar slash comfortable are you with MCPs? Like, have you used Apollo's MCP before? Curious where people stand on that. Very familiar? No. Yes. No. No. No. I'm not used. Okay. For the people that haven't done it, definitely would recommend it. We'll talk a little bit about it here shortly, but it's really powerful. I've been using it for my everyday outbound work flows. And like I mentioned, Zach is going to be kind of talking through exactly how, how he uses it. Oh, I'm jumping the gun. I'm already talking about our speakers. I haven't even introduced them yet. Okay. Let's get into it. Okay. So, everybody, let's do some house housekeeping first. So number one, yes, you will be getting the recording. And if you have additional questions that you wanna ask, I know it's gonna be really tempting to just throw it in the chat, but I'm gonna ask you to please there's a q and a tab that you should see. Go ahead and throw them in there. It makes it a lot easier for us to actually organize everything and then, figure out how we got how we can, like, respond to you. So, please, if you have a question, put it in the q and a tab. Don't put it in the chat. That'd be super helpful. And, you know, the obvious stuff. Let's not be throwing spam in the chat. And, yes, that includes your LinkedIn, profiles. And don't be rude. You know? We're all friends here. We're all trying to learn. So no spam. Don't be rude. Easy. We do have an Apollo community in Slack. If you do wanna connect to a bunch of people in the GTM space, go ahead and scan that QR that QR code or go to apollo.io/community. And you can hang out with us, you know, ask questions, learn from other GTM practitioners what's working, what's not. Highly recommend it. It's free. Go ahead and jump in. And if you do wanna hang out with us in real life, we are, hosting Apollo Next, which which is a user conference. It's our second one. We did one last year. We're really, really excited about this. It's pretty much our one time a year where we get everybody together, try to get some of our friends from and this year, I think it's Anthropic, Replit, HubSpot, HyperAgent. They talk about things that are working with their GTM, things that they're excited about, and also people at Apollo. So you'll hear from, our CEO, our CRO, our CPO. I don't know if I'm missing any c's, but, yeah. We'll hear from everyone kind of about essentially what it what they're excited about in the coming year. A lot of really cool releases that we haven't talked about yet. I got a sneak peek at some of the announcements. It's really, really cool stuff. And so if you are interested, highly recommend you check it out. It's going to be on September 30 at the SF Jazz Center in San Francisco. If you wanna register, that's going to be at apollo.io/next. That is apollo.io/next. Okay. And lastly, resources. Okay. So we're gonna be sharing a bunch of different cool things for you. And like I mentioned, you're gonna get the recording, but there's also gonna be some stuff that you can take home with you aside from the recording as well, some things that our speaker is gonna share with you, some other different, tips and tricks that you can use to help you on your way, as you're learning about MCPs and working with Apollo, ChattGPT, and Claude. So be sure you check out the resources tab. It's just it's I'm sorry. It's the docs tab that should have all the resources for you. Okay. That is all of the housekeeping. So let's talk about what we are going to be discussing. So first, we're going to meet our special guest, our speaker. We're gonna talk through a, a bet that Apollo made a few months ago that really changed the course of how we think about AI and working with ChattGPT and Claude. We're gonna reexplain slash reintroduce what an MCP is for those of you who this concept is new, and then we're gonna get into it. This is gonna be a tactical session. We're not gonna be too fluffy here. We're gonna get into a live demo with Apollo and both Claude and Chad GPT to see how it really performs, and then we'll do some q and a. I I already see a a question here. What does MCP stand for? Model, context, protocol. Alright. Here we go. So meet the speaker. So I'm Andy, and I'm on the product marketing team here at Apollo. I lead all of our AI product marketing stuff. But you don't you don't wanna hear from me. You wanna hear from Zach. He's our special guest. I'm gonna invite him up on the stage. Zach, do you wanna give there he is. Look at that guy. You wanna give a quick introduction? A lot of people would love to hear from you, dude. Like, you're awesome. Appreciate you having me here. My name is Zach Derris. I'm the founder and lead trainer at ZDTS, which is a sales AI marketing automation agency. Been working closely with Apollo for over a year now. Been using Apollo for coming up to eight years, and, I'm really excited to see what the decision is gonna be at the end of this call if if everyone in the chat is team Chad GPT or team Claude. So thank you for having me here. My man. Okay. So we're gonna hear from Zach a lot more in a few minutes. So I will go ahead and move forward with some of these, some some context setting, and then we'll invite Zach back up on the stage here in a few minutes. First, let's paint a picture of, essentially, what we're trying to solve for here. Okay? Essentially, what we've noticed over the past, you know, I would say, like, year or so is there was this issue that was happening as it related to all these new AI tools that have been flooding the market. And the issue was a lot of these tools made it even harder for sellers to work. I mean, yes, it provided some solutions, but it just created more places to go. It distributed their work. They might be thinking within ChatGPT, you know, kinda going back and forth. They might be drafting their copy in Claude or researching something within perplexity. And then if they're still using Apollo, you know, all that context switching is going back into Apollo between each of these tools. And so it's just a lot of, you know, different chunks of the process. And, you know, what does that cost? I think, like, on an individual level, it might seem like, oh, just kind of like a quick switch over to one tab versus another. It's kinda like micro, you know, just kind of seconds that you're that you're losing. But, honestly, a lot of that context switching, it has attacks on our attention, and it can really kind of mess up our our flow and when we're trying to build out our GTM programs. Especially too. I mean, I think GTM is very complicated to begin with. And, when you're adding additional tooling and additional steps, it just makes it more complicated. And so that doesn't mean that we want to disregard all the cool stuff that AI has helped us with, or is capable of helping us with. It just means we need to rethink kind of our process for incorporating it into our day to day outbound flows. And so Apollo made a bet that instead of trying to force everyone to be on its platform, we should be open, and we should be very simple in integrating with these different tools and available essentially everywhere your team is already working. And I know we're talking about, you know, ChatGPC and Cloud specifically today, but, honestly, there are a lot more tools that you can use Apollo with now in the AI world. You know, we have ChatGPT, Cloud, Perplexity, Replit, Cursor. I mean, the list goes on and on. So it's not just these two, but we will be focusing on them. And the idea is with Apollo's MCP, you can do all the cool stuff that you normally do in the Apollo platform, but without leaving Claude or ChatGPT or Perplexy or any of those other tools. You can build your lists. You can find leads. You can enrich those leads. You can find their verified emails and phone numbers. You can also take action on those leads as well. So you can create and activate sequences with fully personalized messaging, and you can analyze results so that you can figure out what worked and what didn't, and then apply that to the next, sequence as well. All of that is possible from any of these different AI tools through Apollo's MCP. And it's very easy to get set up. Zach's gonna kind of give you a very short walk through to make sure that you feel good about that. But, yeah, without further ado, I like I said, I didn't wanna go too deep into this. I feel like a lot of people do know what the MCP essentially is and how it works. But like I said, Zach will show you more tactically how to get it set up, and then we'll get going. So, again, the premise of this show is that we are going to take the same prompts, using Apollo's MCP and apply them to both Claude and ChatGPT at the same time and try to figure out, you know, which one performs the best. That way you don't have to be worrying. Okay. Should I be using this one for that or this one for that? So, hopefully, you find it entertaining. It's helpful, and we can dive right into it. Yeah. No. We won't do that one. So, Zach, I'm gonna call you back up, and we can get this show on the road. Hi. Let's do. it. So, a couple people said in the chat they couldn't hear me, so I just wanted to test with the audience. If you can hear me, can just one person put a thumbs up or or or someone? Alright. Great. Great. Great. Fantastic. So appreciate everyone for joining. Now before we actually dive in, just to make sure everyone's comfortable with the view, once I start screen sharing, you should be able to click on the screen, and there'll be a, plus and minus sign to essentially zoom in. But what I do wanna do really quickly is just share my screen the way I intended to host this session today, which is gonna be a split screen. And I want everyone to just say what you prefer, split screen or full screen. If it's gonna be a full screen, I'm gonna do Claude first, then ChargeGPT after, and then it will essentially look like that for you. If you're comfortable with the split screen so you can see how both of them perform perform at the same time, I'll keep it on split screen. So split split full split is good. K. I'm I'm gonna go with the majority, which is really tough. The room split. Pun intended. Cool. Can everyone try hitting that plus sign on the screen, on the screen share? See if you can zoom in. You can click the full screen icon, and you can zoom in as well. I can see I'm zooming in on my view, and it's pretty clear. Cool. Alright. Actually, looks like full screen is going for the win. So what I'm gonna do today is show you what are the best ways to use Apollo's MCP on Claude and Apollo's app on ChargeGPT. They are both essentially MCPs, but due to branding, with ChargeGPT, they fall on the plug ins, and with Claude, they fall on the connectors. But before we get into prompts, it makes sense that I show you how to connect it. So for everyone who came here for Claude, the way that you connect Apollo's MCP to Claude is you open up claude.ai, click on customize, click on connectors, and then click that search button. Once you're in the search button, you just type in Apollo, and then you hit connect. It will load up a new screen. It will take you to your Apollo account. You should be logged in. Read through the information, authorize it, and then it will shut this down, and it will take you back over to Claude. Now that this is connected, the first test that you always wanna do is just open up a new chat, click the plus sign, click connectors, and then you can see Apollo is toggled on. Now we know your cloud account will start speaking to Apollo when you're prompting sales related lead generation tasks. The majority of the time, you don't even need to say use Apollo. It will understand what your prompt is for, and it will go ahead and utilize the Apollo MCP. ChargeGPT, slightly different. On the menu on the left hand side, once you log in to ChargeGPT, there is a plug in button right over there. You wanna click plug ins, and then you'll be able to see there's a search plug in bar. So you just wanna type in Apollo just like what we did on Claude. Click on this. Install the plug in. You get the pop up within ChatGPT, which will then push you to the same screen, approve it, and authorize. Great question. I've just seen, no. You do not need to have a paid account to connect it. However, I would recommend having at least the basic plan for either ChargeGPT or Claude, whatever AI you have, with Apollo as well to get the most out of it. Now that that's been connected to ChargeGPT, you wanna go ahead and click new chat. Now where on Claude, we just click the plus sign and we made sure it was connected. With ChatGPT, you have to do something slightly different. You wanna click on plugins, and then you wanna select Apollo. This way, it's been tagged within the chat the same way you're gonna tag a colleague on Slack just like that. And now you only need to do this once within the chat. You don't have to keep doing it with every single prompt that you put through. And then now Apollo can go ahead and be utilized within ChatGPT. So that's how you connect Claude to both ChatGPT and sorry. That's how you connect Apollo to both ChatGPT and Claude. Now what we're gonna do is take a really basic prompt, and I'm gonna ask both Chad GPT and Claude. Sorry. One second. I'm gonna ask both Chad GPT and Claude to find me five influencer slash creator managers at AI related companies that I can speech pitch sponsored content to. They should be in The US, and their company should be AI tools. Now a lot of the proficient Claude users in the room, you will know whenever you're utilizing a new MCP, if you have a lot of skills that you've added to Claude, for those chat GPT users that don't know what Claude skills are, imagine the custom GPTs that you've been making. They're kind of like that is to enhance the memory and do specific tasks within your Claude account. For those who do have skills added on Claude, I I always recommend when you're gonna do a fresh test like this just to say, don't use any skills associated with this Claude account. Only on Claude. The reason why I'm doing that, and you'll hear more about this towards the end of the session, but I have an outbound Claude skill for Apollo that I've built, and it runs my whole entire Apollo Claude activity. And it enhances it a lot more and gives me instructions rather than me giving it instructions, which is accessible for everyone in the resources so so that it doesn't take advantage of that skill or any other skills that I have, I'm just saying to this, do not use any skills because I want it to give you a a fresh show of how good it can work. And then the same prompt without that disclaimer, I'm pasting in to ChatGPT. Fortunately, I can't click on both at the same time, but I'll just give Claude a little bit of a head start because as we all know, ChatGPT is a little bit faster than Claude. However, in my experience, Claude has, in certain tasks, always performed a lot better. But as you can see right now, the nice thing is if you have your, ChatGPT memory and your cloud memory enabled, which I would always recommend that you do when you're doing outbound activity, all of us have been talking to AI proficiently for the past few years, so it does retain the knowledge of you, your business, your customers, if you've spoken to it about it. So this has done a really good job. Claude has straight away, and it's pulled the knowledge of my customer base, my offering, my ICP, and all of that stuff, and it's going to find me leads. However, let's have a look at this. Chad GpT is already almost for the win. Oh, almost is asking me for permission. Now this is really interesting. I've got 94,000 credits remaining for the year. I've got 94,000 credits remaining for the year, and, Claude didn't mention that whatsoever. I just asked it, and it went straight to the task, and it gave me the leads. Now with ChargeGPT, I have to confirm that I'm happy for it to use the credits. So go ahead and find this information. But we can see over here, it did exactly what I asked with Claude. It got me the name, the job title, the company name, and why they are a fit. Now Chad GPT sorry. Claude, I am gonna get the two names twisted a few times, so bear with me there. But, Claude understands certain accounts that I recently worked on or created content for is similar to this one. So it's actually given me leads that I was considering reaching out to anyway, which is fantastic. While we wait for ChatGPT to contradict what I said about it being faster, we'll go ahead and take the next prompt, which is all in plain English. So I intentionally made these prompts in plain English so you guys don't need to rely on a prompt library or anything like that or complicated language, and you can just speak to it as if you're speaking to your staff or your colleagues. And now let's see a match. We can see Claude and Chaje GPT both gave us OpusClip and Suno and Apagus, and Mirage. And the only difference was the last one, Chaje GPT gave us Supio, and Claude gave us Imagine R. Now these guys are more interested by because they run influencer marketing for a fast growing b two b legal AI platform whose buyers are active on LinkedIn. I love that kind of intent. And the intent comes from Apollo, so shout out to Apollo. Now the next prompt we're gonna do is great in plain English. Now surface their URLs for LinkedIn, company URLs, and email addresses. Let's go ahead and send this on both, and I'll get the next prompt ready while we wait. And look at that. ChatGPT came out faster because we gave it permission now. Right? We gave it permission to use the credits, and those are the five credits that was used. Before it surfaced the email addresses, it it it asks for permissions. So, and let's call this chat GPT. Let's call this Claude. The next prompt that I wanna go ahead and do is ask both Claude and Apollo to go ahead and create lead lists within Apollo of these five contacts. So I'm not gonna need to export this as a CSV or manually go into Apollo and type in these contacts or find them and add them to a list. We're using AI as twenty twenty six. We can literally tell it, upload these to a lead list on Apollo called, for Claude, August, new leads, Claude, for Chad GPT, August, new leads, chat GPT. Let's go ahead and send that and send that. So we've got verified emails. We've also got some interesting notes here from Claude, and from ChargeGPT as well, which is very interesting. So, obviously, this isn't really like a power of ChargeGPT or Claude. It's the data that Apollo has, which is so accurate that it feeds that information back to your respective AIs and tells you, this email address for this individual is verified, but it doesn't match that particular company, so you should check it before you do any outreach. And another interesting thing for me, that contact, Ben, came from Looma, who is a client of mine, so that's another way in. It's just phenomenal what it can do. Now who came out quicker? ChadGPT. Right? So ChadGPT was able to build the lead list quicker. So far, from what you've seen, you've seen three activities. If we can get a poll in the chat, that will be fantastic. Right? Out of those three activities, who won, so who has won so far? Who performed better finding the leads, being able to enrich those leads, and push them to a leads list? Was it Claude, or was it Chad GPT? And there we go. Claude has now done the task one minute slower, but it's okay. And let's see. Is everything enriched? Yep. We've got everything that we need. So far so good. Let me just, take a quick look at the poll, see how everyone's feeling. Who won that round? I think my money was on Chatt GPT, not to bias it, but but, hey. Interesting. Fantastic. So up next, one prompt stat, hopefully, a lot of you know, Apollo's sequencing tool is one of the most powerful ones available on the market. However, as busy professionals, building out a new sequence from scratch can be a little bit tedious. Even though Apollo and the UI team have done a phenomenal job of being able to refine it to make it as easy to use as possible. I remember building sequences out when they first came. Andy, correct me on the date here. I think it was 2022 when sequences first came to play. I wanna say 2022. And the UI was completely different. It was still great, but it remind me of, 2010 going on to LinkedIn a little bit. Now it's it's phenomenal. Right? It's just so easy to use. But I'm not gonna create a sequence from scratch. I'm just gonna go ahead and tell both chat GPT and one second. Let me just copy the prompt. Both chat GPT and Claude to go ahead and create that sequence for us. And this is what it's going to look like. The prompt is, next, create a new sequence called August sequence flawed with the following steps. Day one, a manual task to send a LinkedIn connection request. This will be an action automatic email. Day three, an automatic email. Day seven, an automatic email. Automatic email means once the previous step has been completed, it's gonna go ahead and automatically send that email to that contact. Apollo also has the option to do a manual email, which you'll receive as a task. So you can review that email before you send it, and you can customize it even further if customization is your goal. For this particular example, I'm just telling it, don't draft the emails. You can tell it to draft the emails, though, but I'm saying don't draft the emails. Leave them blank. Just create the sequence template for me and add those contacts to the sequence. Let's have a race. Claude, Chad GPT. Let's see what happens. And I didn't say this because I know whenever an MCP or an app, interacts with Apollo to build a sequence, it doesn't ever activate the sequence. It puts it into draft. It's inactive, and you have to manually go ahead and activate it. Before oh, I didn't see this one earlier. Apollo requires a tone setting even when the email steps are blank. That oh, okay. Cool. Let's just do casual. Cool. Now one powerful thing because I'm seeing a couple people mention automated workflows in the chat. I was gonna show it today. However, it would give the upper hand to Claude because, unfortunately, currently, building workflows within chat GPT isn't available. Right? However, you can, in Claude, say, now build me a automated workflow within Apollo to automatically, every Monday at 2PM, surface new leads within Apollo that match this ICP, push them into the same list, and push them into the same outbound sequence. Claude won that round. It has created the sequence, and let's have a look over here. Now another reason why Claude won that round is not only because of the speed, but it gave me the link to the sequence. ChatGPT just told me the sequence was created. Can you give me the link to the sequence? And I'm intentionally doing it like this so you all can see if there is anything that Cloud or Chat GPT doesn't surface to you, just ask it. And there we go. Within a matter of seconds, it pulls it up. So let's have a look. I'll just have a look on the preview section. I'll full screen this for everyone. So this is what Claude created. All steps. Step one, the LinkedIn connection request. Step two, automatic email. Step three, automatic email. Step four, automatic email. Let's have a look at what ChatGPT did. Same thing. Connection request. Email, email, email. And that's it. That that is literally how you use ChatGPT and Claude within Apollo, but it doesn't stop there. There's a lot of great stuff you can do. If you are getting started, with ChadGPT developer or Claude with Apollo, if you go to the link that, Andy has put inside resources, which is Apollo I o forward slash developers, and you scroll down to around halfway through that says ship a GTM tool this afternoon, you've got a bunch of prompts that you could go ahead and copy paste really quickly and customize them. To take it even further, if you head over to LinkedIn and you type in Andy Makoto Bicknell and you just scroll down to this video that you posted two hours ago, which I've just reposted to, he's got a video demonstration of going through these exact prompts. Right? These egg I'm correct, Andy. It's these prompts. Right? It is. Yeah. Awesome. Thank you. It's these exact prompts. So I would highly recommend. I'm gonna grab this link that everyone goes and watches this video. It's only a couple minutes long, and he shows you exactly the right way to use those prompts. So I'm just gonna drop him in the chat. So if everyone cannot type anything in the chat for one second and let everyone just open up that link that I've just put in, that would be awesome. And do show some love to Andy on the post because he really put a lot of effort in that recording that. So so shout out to you. And then the next thing that I wanna do is get super interactive. Do you wanna come up, Andy? Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. What's up? Oh, no. I saw you raise your hand. I thought you were gonna come up. Oh, yeah. No. No. No. Sorry. I was just saying, yeah. Woo hoo. Like, raise the roof. Cool. Cool. The next thing, I don't know, Adji, where's the best place to put this, but, I've just put a prompt in Slack to you that I wanna share with the audience. So I'll put it in the chat and maybe the q and a section, but I want everyone to get interactive with me right now. I'm gonna run some prompts for you, right, based on your business, your ICP, and the people that you like to target. So in the chat, our wonderful Adji, who's behind the scenes, who's been able to run this show fantastically, she's just pinned that prompt. What I want you all to do is I'm gonna choose as many of these as I can. But just to show you, like, this isn't only gonna work on the stuff that I've done, I want you to go ahead and use that prompt. Can you please enter your relevant information such as your URL, the job titles and industries that you're targeting, and I'll go ahead and share those prompts. Now the people that would get the most amount of results are the ones that customize those prompts even better. So for me, with that prompt example, I will go ahead and say my company URL is zachteris.com. The the services that I offer is a b c. Find me five decision makers at, creator managers at AI related companies that I can prospect today. Get me the name, email address, and URL. And while you will take your time to do that, I'm gonna look through some of these questions. Can we add an Excel sheet to a similar contact, from our sheet of companies. Yes. I will run that example right now. So let me go to the developer prompts. I'm gonna click enrich a contact list. I'm gonna copy that, and then I'll just go into both chat GPT and Claude. I'll start a new chat in chat GPT. I'll go ahead and add the plug in in Claude. I'm not gonna do anything. I'm gonna paste that prompt. Removed please paste contact list because I have it. And I'm going to upload an unenriched export of data, which is a CSV file, so a spreadsheet. You all just saw my downloads. Don't judge me. I love memes. And then I'm gonna send it. And while we wait because, obviously, this is a enrichment task across a number of leads, so it will take a couple seconds for it to go ahead and do its job. But let's have a look at who has been customizing their prompts. Cool. Keith Myers. That's a super tactical one. I would recommend dropping me a DM on LinkedIn. I've actually got a resource for that that I can show you. My company is Digital Fresh. Find me five decision makers of MMA and I I don't know what MMA and D is. I'm gonna need you to expand on that a little bit more, Joe. Question for Andy from Orlando Jimenez. Is this stronger if we run this through a terminal instead? Yes. He's nodding. He's coming up. Let's go to Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So if anybody wants to do do all the if if you, Andy. like, are living in the terminal, if you're a little bit more technical, then we have the Apollo CLI. And so I would just recommend I can throw this in the chat too. I was just sharing it with somebody else. We have a a whole developer portal, where, yeah, it just gets into some more technical details. And if you are running a lot of these, workflows in your terminal, then, the CLI is what you are going to want to run. So I'll I'll put that in the chat and, or maybe even the resources. We might throw that in the docs, channel for those that are interested. But if you aren't in the terminal, then don't worry about it. Awesome. While we wait, because I still don't see a fully complete prompt, which maybe that's an exercise we can do, like how to write the right kind of prompts. But a question via Doreen I'm gonna butcher your surname, and I'm gonna really try not to. Doreen. I hope that's how you say it. Can it identify if the client is already in HubSpot so there will be no duplicate contacts? Yes. And that's one of the features I love about Apollo and Claude and ChargeGPT. MCPs can talk to each other, which is a fantastic thing. So as you see over here on my Claude, let me just full screen this. I have got connectors. I've got my HubSpot connected as well. So what I can do before I upload that list into Apollo, I can ask it, check if they're in my HubSpot first. I don't even have to say use the HubSpot MCP. I can just say check if they're in my HubSpot first, which is fantastic. Quite, on on on a number of occasions, you're gonna find that Cloud and Charge GPT are gonna give you leads. If it doesn't have previous contacts, it's gonna give you leads that you're already prospecting. This is why if your CRM is Apollo, we you don't have to do anything and just tell it check that they're not already saved leads in my Apollo, and it will go ahead and do that. If you have an external CRM such as HubSpot, make sure you're using the native MCP from that CRM, and you're cross checking within the same chat. Barb, respecter, you are moving way too fast for me to follow. Please send recording. We will get you that recording, and I apologize. I've had a lot of coffee today. My company alright. Here's a good one. My company is Squadron Technology. Find me five decision makers leads at IT industry companies that I could prospect today. Cool. We'll go ahead and run with that, and let's do them in both. It's probably gonna ask for more context, but let's see. And just like Andy did in his video tutorial, the the MCPs have been built in a way where it knows to go ahead and, like, research your company website, which is fantastic. So let me just plug in enable and then paste that one there. Let's do another one. Voice conversation AI. I offer a voice conversation AI agent called Amy. My ideal customers are hotels and decision maker owners. I like that. I'm gonna tweak that a little bit more. And I'm just gonna go ahead and open up a new chat. Because the nice thing about these AIs and their interaction with Apollo is while you wait for one conversation to do its job and service your leads, you can open up another conversation and start working on something else, which is fantastic. So let's go ahead and paste that here first. Oh, I didn't okay. My company URL is. We offer a voice conference called Amy. Do some research first to understand our product offering and then and understand that my ideal customers are hotel decision makers. Find me find me free. Boutique, hotels in color in San Francisco that have a fairly decent revenue size that would be an ideal customer potentially interested in purchasing something like this. Now I don't know if anyone is spelling conscious or not. However, you can see I've made a couple of spelling mistakes. You don't really need to correct your spelling on either chat, GPT, or Claude. That's one of the core things that when the developers were building it, they understand people use speech to text. They type really fast, so don't be too conscious by it. I see people taking their time to make sure they're spelling things correctly because maybe the AI isn't intelligent enough to be able to understand the spelling mistake. It is. So interested. Alright. Cool. So let's run this in both, and then let's go check on the other one. Those two were really good. Let's see what we got. And then Cool. I just need to move this out of the way for a second. And alright. So for Squadron Technology, yeah, approve emails. Always ask before spending. If you're credit conscious, then that's okay. And then back to the review contact list task. Look. It it did it. It found 10 contacts. The CSV has no email addresses, no URL for LinkedIn, no phone number, or no location. So it can access the rows, but Apollo enrichment is required. Do you wanna use 10 credits? Yes. I do. Cool. So let's have a look at the IT decision makers. This also wants me to approve, and let's see how this one's doing. K. We we are getting some results. This is good. So the boutique hotels, this one's working because, obviously, like, it's it's more of a detailed prompt. And by the way, a lot of us initially, we may be in a rush to get a result from the AIs. But the nice thing about this is these are tasks that you would normally manually do on Apollo. So you'll go into Apollo. You'll trigger all the filters, put the industries, the keywords, and all of that stuff. But now you can just tell the AI what you want. It will use Apollo. You can go ahead and have a drink, which is water, and then it will go ahead and do its job for you. So back to squadron technology on chat GPT. For that person who wanted this, take a quick screenshot. Wait. Not yet. Don't want my chats in the screenshot. Take a screenshot of that. You got five leads. There we go. Didn't take much time. And now contactless cleanup for the person who asked about a spreadsheet. I've enriched within an hour of seconds 10 leads that didn't have a LinkedIn URL, company URL, or email address. And and there we go. Fantastic. Very fast, very quick. What else? I'm really curious on that boutique hotel for voice conversation AI. If if you wanna reach out to me on LinkedIn, I'll give you the link for this particular chat, because it it probably is gonna take a little bit of more time. And for the, Claude on the squadron technology, it's still running his business, but Chad GPT came through a lot quicker. So regardless of what AI you want to use, it it doesn't really matter. They both will do the job. If if speed is your thing, then I would definitely say ChargeGPT. If accuracy with intent is your thing, Claude does outperform it over there. And I and I think that's it. I think now maybe, Andy, we can just do some questions. If anybody does want, me to run your prompts, do me a favor. Find me on LinkedIn. Shoot them over to me. I will run the prompts, and I will shoot you the link to the chat so you can go ahead and go through it. But that's it for Yes. Hope you enjoyed. Thank you, Zach. Oh, super impressive. Everyone give Zach a quick round of applause. Give some emojis. Great job. Thank you for answering everyone's questions. I love when we do these tactical, demos. They're a lot harder than they seem even though Zach makes it, seem very easy just to kinda keep everybody on the same page and at a good pace. And so really appreciate it, Zach. Now if anybody would love to move forward and talk with our sales team to kind of understand really, you know, some more details on how Apollo's MCP works. Feel free to answer here. It's okay if you don't want to. That's all good. Just let us know, and we'll make sure that you are on the right track. Go ahead and answer that here. And then after that, we will move into some q and a. So, my friend, Zach, I have a couple of questions for you, and I'll chime in here too on some some of my thoughts too. But, the first one I have for you is, where do you draw the line between automation that improves selling and automation that starts to hurt the buyer experience? I think this is a really important question because I've seen so many people automating too much to the point where it almost seems like they're not even, like, really thinking about the details that, like, go into making it a good experience on the on on the person they're reaching out to, and it can actually hurt them. So where do you draw the line there? Before I answer, shout out to the audience. Hundreds of people completed that prompt template. I don't want you to think that's gone to waste. You now know how to connect Apollo to your cloud dot chat GPT. Copy that prompt that you wrote in the chat and paste it in your AI and let it run for you. I didn't expect so many people to do it. Where I draw the line is a massive unpopular opinion because of the state of AI and the state of the sales industry right now. Everyone wants to use AI messaging. Everybody wants to automate their outreach. They wanna have Claude or Chad GPT or whoever write messaging for them, and I refuse to. I've trained hundreds and hundreds of companies. And whenever I see AI messaging, I pick her apart, and we have a conversation about what the buyer should actually understand, and then I transcribe it. I show them what it actually looks like. They compare it to the AI messaging, and there is no similarity whatsoever. So the message that you actually want to communicate to your buyer, even though out of all of them, a sorry, Apollo's AI messaging within their platform is fantastic if, and this is a big if, your AI contact center in Apollo has been populated correctly. If that's been populated correctly, you can utilize Apollo's AI messaging as a template at least. But I think where I draw the line is use AI for your lead generation, your buying intent, your research. But when it comes to messaging, you're not going after people just for the money. You're going after relationships. If you're going after them just as a customer, if they're just another dollar to you, I can't help you. If you genuinely want good customers that are gonna be there for you for decades and decades. When I started my business in 2017, the first guy that I sold, we still speak three times a year. Right? He's still a customer to this day, and it's all about personalizing everything. So you can use AI for concepts, right, to help you understand what a draft should be for a line of messaging. But then put your own spin on it. Use your own language. And, yeah, that's where I'll draw the line as to messaging because that really does hurt the buyer experience because they are you're not the only person contacting them. Even if you are super niche in your industry and you have a small TAM, your total addressable market, there's another Zach or Andy pitching them, so you have to stand out. Sorry. for the. long answer. No. I I think that's, that's perfect. I couldn't have said it better myself. I, I actually the the video that you shared from my LinkedIn earlier today was actually kind of around the same topic on how I feel. Like, a lot of people are overusing AI just for the copywriting, but they're underusing AI to help with targeting and, finding the right accounts to reach out to, the right contacts within those accounts, and then finding the right message to lean on. So I think if you if you can nail those things, then the copy should take care of itself. I'm not saying that people aren't successful applying AI to copy, but I think that you need to just start applying it a little bit earlier in the process. And so definitely agree with you there, Zach. Alright. Next one. What separates teams that are truly transforming their GTM motion with AI from teams that are simply adding AI to the same old workflows? So this is this is kinda like what I described in the very beginning. Like, they're just kind of making they're adding ChatGPT or Claude to their existing process without really changing anything. So what do you think, is the answer here? I'm gonna use Apollo as a perfect example because we're here because of Apollo. Right? What baffles me is people see Cloth can do this. ChatGPT can do this. They can run your whole entire outbound connected to Apollo. Go ahead and prompt it. And they never actually log in to Apollo. And then they question themselves, why are my campaigns not hitting? Why am I not getting a good reply rate? Why am I not getting opens? It's because you haven't mastered, and here's my answer. You haven't, you haven't mastered how to use the platform that you're connecting to. So if you're gonna use MCPs and plugins within AI, within Clawchai GPT, whatever that platform is, could be Slack, could be Notion, could be your Google Drive, could be Apollo, Could be anything. Learn how to use that platform first because whenever the AI then does something that doesn't comprehend or it doesn't perform in the right way, you can then educate it because AI is only as good as the person using it. I probably could have said that bit a little bit better, but, like, your your AI so my chat GPT will never perform the same way as Andy's. Right? We'll never get the same results because it's been learning from us for several years. So if it has no context whatsoever and you are none the wiser, you don't know how to use the platform, it's not gonna know what to do. So please, can you master the platforms yourself? Take your time to learn them. There's hundreds of free video tutorials, on the Internet. There's hundreds of people posting about how to use these platforms. You can even use the AI to say, where can I buy a course for this, or where can I watch a training video on this? And it will tell you. So master the tool first. I hope that answers. Yeah. Or or my favorite, you know, you can just ask it to build a course for you. You know? Or, like, teaching you, like, you can say, hey. Here's where I'm at. Here's my goal, and it can build kind of a customized path for you. I'm not saying that that's the answer in all cases. It's just one way. Like, I've I've done that a I'm not I've never done build me a course, but all the time I say, hey. Explain this process to me, Yep. or, like, here's my goal. What do I need to understand? Great example of this is, Claude Code. I think a lot. of people understand there's Claude chat, there's cowork, and there's Claude code. Yep. And a while back when I was first trying to get into Claude code, I need to understand, okay. Like, does it make sense for me to learn? What aspects of Claude code do I need to understand, and how does it differ from cowork? And so I just use Cloud. I said, hey. Here's here's my role. Here is what I'm trying to get done. Tell me, like, are there any workflows that Claude code could help me with, and then could you guide me through it? And as long as you can, you know, set aside some time to I mean, you still have to learn it. You still. have to set aside some time to learn. There's no silver bullet, but that's one way that you can go about it so that it's a little bit more tailored to you. And, yeah, I mean, it's crazy. Like, you can just use the AI to help. train you on AI. So, yeah, definitely recommend that. that's a valid point. Maybe, like, seven months ago, I had to connect my first ever API. So my brain goes straight to YouTube. I'm like, how do I connect this API to this? I couldn't follow along. I just couldn't. So what I did, I took all the screenshots that I needed to. I put it into Cowork, and I was like, I need you to guide me, bro. How do I connect this API? Right? And then it actually said, there are elements that I could do for you, but you'll need to give certain permissions. And I was like, no. I need to learn how to do this. So it just said step by step. And before and this is important for everyone here. If you are ever unsure with the instructions that it's giving you before you hit save or you go to the next step, take a screenshot of that one step that you have done, put it back into the AI, and say, is this correct? And it will tell you. Right? So cool. Yeah. Nice. Nice. Nice. Love it. Okay. Last one here. So what and we kinda answered this. a little bit with the with the first question. So I'm curious if you have any any any other thoughts. I mean, there's so many ways that people are applying AI to their GTM. So is there any other thing that you think is just, like, blatantly that teams are getting wrong about AI right now? And is there, like, if you could get people to invest in a different direction, what would that be? Yeah. I kind of wanna, like, change my answer a little bit, but I would definitely say, utilize whatever plugins and MCPs. It depends if you're on Cloridus MCPs, if it's ChargeGPT as plugins. Right? Or if you're on the terminal, it's CLIs. Right? CLIs. I don't really use the terminal. I'm I'm, like, really, like, app based. Utilize them for as many of your tools as possible. Even stuff that you don't even think should be speaking to your AI, you should do that. My Gmail is connected to my cloud, my Google calendar, my slack, my notion, my Google drive. I go into Claude and I'm like, Hey, create a document that has this step, this step, this step, and then add it to this particular folder. And it just creates it for me. And then I tell it I need to share access to this team, and then it just does it for me. So I would say check within your respected AIs if the connectors for the tools that you use within your business suite are available. If they're not available, don't fret. A lot of the times, you can create custom connectors. Claude allows you to do a great job of that, and that's exactly why I had to build that API that I mentioned. I had to build a custom connector for a particular tool. And, you should definitely try and integrate AI as much as you can to your whole entire workflow and process. Claude now has a new function. Well, not really new anymore, but it's called routines, where if you've got those repetitive tasks you do every single day, cleaning your mailbox or whatever it is, you just build a routine. It's like Apollo's automated workflows. It's just something that runs on command. So take your time to educate yourself. Watch as many videos. Ask AI. This is all the things that I do every single day. What can be automated? What connectors are available? What connectors do I need to build? What can speak to what? And, the best thing I did in 2025 is really double down on Claude, right, for me because I'm working a lot less, and I'm very happy about that. Like, I think love it. doing. more work. I'm doing more work than I was in the previous year, but I'm physically I'm out on the road. I'm speaking to dispatch on Claude. I'm speaking to Apollo from Claude while I'm out and about, and it's because I've integrated everything. So probably not the answer that you're looking for, but I think definitely, like, integrating as much as possible even the really dumb, tedious tasks. Yep. Amen. Alright, man. Well, thank you so much, Zach, and thanks to everyone for joining. That's all the time we have. Like I said, we have a bunch of different resources that you can take home with you, And everyone's gonna get the the webinar recording, so don't worry about that. Just go to the docs tab and make sure you check out all the different resources that we have available for you. We have different examples of different prompts that you can use, within the within Cloud or ChatGPT, whatever tool you're using using Apollo's MCP. We have Zach's YouTube tutorial, his resource library for Apollo. And, again, you can join the Apollo community if you want to hang out and talk a little bit more. Or if you wanna register for Apollo next, we'd love to see you in person. Zach, where can, folks find you if they wanna learn more from you? LinkedIn, Zach Derris. We'd love to connect with you there. I post about Apollo a couple times a week, a lot of step by step guide video tutorials, live experiences of what kind of campaigns I run, what the results are, what kind of messaging I use. So I would definitely say go to LinkedIn. I'm I'm there probably eight hours of the day. So, you know, that's where you find me. Thank. you. Love it. Alright, man. Appreciate it, and thanks again everyone for joining. We'll see you next time. Hi. Thanks for having me, Andy.
