A quick hello, everyone. For those of you who are joining now, welcome. We'll give about a minute for folks to log on. Thank you for joining us. Okay. Alright. We are a minute past the hour, so we will go ahead and get started. Thank you for joining us today, and welcome wherever you are joining from. Good morning or good afternoon. For those of you who I have not had the pleasure to meet, my name is Constance Miller, and I'd like to welcome you to your one hundred day member engagement blueprint. 25 chat. I saw you got it, started right away. I love that. We're gonna be having an interactive session today, so please go ahead and say hello. In the chat function, say where you're joining from, and we're gonna have a pretty active, poll as well as we go throughout our session in the next forty five minutes. So drop your questions in the chat and leverage that q and a because we are happy to kick this off. You could have next slides, please. I mentioned my name was Constance Miller. For those of you who I have not had the pleasure to work with closely, I have been working with nonprofits both nationally and at the local level for twenty years. My background is in research and also member engagement, including retention, and marketing strategies that are really focused on mission impact, increasing your reach, and improving those Thanks, Constance. Hi, everybody. I'm Jared Jones. I'm a product consultant working with Daxko Engage, working to implement all of our new customers on Daxko Engage as well as be a resource for our current customers in ways that they can utilize DAX cone gauge better. So it's great to meet everybody. I'll be kinda here to reinforce a lot of the concepts that Constance is sharing with us today, through some some demos within DAX cone gauge to show you ways that we can complete all these things. So it's great to be here. I'll jump backstage, but I'll be back in a little bit. See you guys soon. Okay. Great. Next slide, please. This is going to be our focus for for today. Many of you work in this world every single day, member recruitment, member retention, member engagement. And the focus of our time is really going to be spent on some of the proof points we have of what has worked well with organizations exactly like yours over time. So I mentioned I've been working with nonprofits for about twenty years. We've got other team members who have been implementing the blueprint that we're going to lay out today for many years. Jared mentioned Daxko engage. That is 1 solution, that is available to you no matter who you work with or or what you're currently using, to reach members. But the focus, again, is to give you some very actionable steps for that first one hundred day first month, second month, third month so that we increase our outcomes and really challenge ourselves in new ways. Some of you may know I happen to be a YMCA board member, and we set goals every year, around this. And our goals are often quite informed by what we have done in the past. So it's last year plus. Right? We wanna have those retention goals that we have. The joins, that infamous time of year where we have that influx of new members who are either getting to renew us or know us for the first time. And so we're very used to you. I think everyone on this call probably already having this discussion in some way. So the purpose of today is to lay out, how we unpack that conversation. So in addition to kind of doing these motions of welcoming members and knowing that we have to wrap our arms around them as they come into our facilities or register for a program, whatever it may be, unpacking it into 9 steps. So we're going to be breaking those up into chunks of 3, not surprisingly. Some of them are going to look familiar to you. Some of them, I hope, are new. And what I would like to point out as we, kinda go along is that as we unpack e what each 9 are, I would love to hear your thoughts in the chat of not only if you're doing these, but how well you feel like you're doing them. Because I've done most of them myself. There's actually 2 on the list that I'm just starting, to be involved with. So 2 are new to me. Seven seven are familiar. That's my personal story. But what's really changed for me over the time, that I have been working in membership is how well I have crafted communications or leveraged technology in order to automate these motions. So as we go through, that's also part of the story and our purpose here today is not only what to do, but how you can tell if you're really, like, hitting those quality measures to get the outcomes. So before, we kick it off, with that conversation, I mentioned I'm gonna be including some proof points that we had. 1 of them I really wanna keep in mind here is that this, data wise, is investment in a year from now. So I know we're talking about the person hundred days. But 1 of the data points that is 1 of my favorites, and I think this is from a nonprofit pro, we can can source this, for you in follow-up communications, is that when we walk through these steps, in the high quality communication way, it's actually showing as much as a 10% increase a year from now in terms of your members' ratings of their engagement with you and also their likelihood to be retained a year from now. So these one hundred days, yes, it's about right now, that short term retention, but it's also about that year from now renewal or their deeper engagement with you over time. I mentioned a couple of times, it's gonna be highly interactive. So, again, throw it in the chat. Hi from oh, I see someone from Iowa, from from Canada. Fantastic. Maine. Hold on. I wanna scroll up in the chat here. Can I get oh, I love this because I'm seeing a really big range of size of organization as well just as a glance? We've got some y's, some j c c's. Perfect. So we're going to kick us off in the next slide. I mentioned we're gonna be interactive. Let's go ahead and get that moving. And you're gonna see a pull function. So, hopefully, this has popped up for you all. Would love to take a quick temperature check of how many of you have an active engagement campaign. And if you don't know what that is, brilliant. Put no. And if you do know what that is, go ahead and give us a yes. Love it. Love it. Okay. So let's see what we have here. Oh my goodness. This is really interesting. Okay. So so far, what I'm seeing in our poll votes is we've got about a third no, 2 thirds yes. Why that why that's, really good information as we move forward? Okay. We're ticking up in that yes. Or you got about a quarter no, three first yes no. Perfect. And that's where I was going. On trend when when I've typically asked these questions, it's about of, you know, 1 in five, one in 4 who say no. And that's what we're that's what we're seeing, in the poll here today. So you guys are on on trend nationally. That's really interesting. So for that 1 in four, one in 5 who don't have this going, a quick reminder that we're about to unpack exactly what this is. So if you are doing it and you're looking for that, how what else can I be doing? Perfect. And if you're not doing it, also, we're gonna lead into that in a moment. So, with those 9 blueprint steps, we're gonna go ahead and start with the first three. Pull that up. Oh, excuse me. I'm jumping ahead. So this one hundred day, member journey. Yes. We will start with those first three in a moment. I get too excited to, to get to those action steps that you can do. This is what it looks like. So I meant, I referred to that we're really investing in a year from now. As you can see, you know, we these are terms, that are outcome terms. So for each of you, if we're doing we're welcoming them in the first ten days, that's the outcome we're looking for. And we're reaching a meaningful, not just connection, but a meaningful connection in that next ten days, and then so on and so on. I know that you guys can intake the slide there. But the 9 steps are mapped to these particular outcomes. So we're gonna have some resources for you at the end of this webinar, and you should be able to see that that relationship between the steps that we're gonna walk through and this outcome we're driving. Because when we put ourselves either you know, we've all worked with members. We've been a member ourselves. If we think about the best member experiences we've ever had, again, either being, you know, behind that behind the desk there where it's our organization we're wanting them to engage with or our own member experience, the organizations that have retained us or the that we have the deepest connection with have probably done something that looks a lot like this. So as we go through and you see, words like welcome, again, I want us to all be thinking about that. It's not just sending that welcome email. It's the quality of the welcome. Right? It's how we make it, in a way that seems very authentic to your organization's mission, the way that you talk about what you do. Same thing with reward. That does not always mean the same thing. Right? It's what it's knowing your organization, your mission, the difference you make, what feels like it creates, that connection and really that moment of celebration, that moment of a thank you, that reward motion, to your membership, all of these things, you know best what resonates with your mission and your message that you have with the with your particular community and the people that you serve. So now, again, jumping to where I was excited to get to. Let's talk about that first thirty days. And another data point for you, there is a marketing research firm that works with nonprofits. They've been around a long time. I believe it's called M and R, Research. Again, we'll get you that site. But when you do these 3 steps, and, again, we kinda go back to that slide. When you do these 3 steps in about the first thirty days, it can impact your retention rate high around 23%, on average nationally. So, yes, I think we're all used to sending and receiving welcome emails. But, again, doing these in an automated stage, setting them up, to kind of I love the word nurture. We hear it often, for those of you who've worked with members, but setting it up in a way that really feels like it is, the right information, at the right time to the right people. That has been shown, on average, to have a 23% return on, again, just either the rating, of you with their experience or, again, their likelihood to stay around. So the last thing I will point out, and then we'll hand it off to Jared to give some really practical in solution examples of how this can look. And if you're using Devsco Engage, great. You can crack it open and follow along. And if you're not, you can translate that, to whatever tooling that you do prefer. But you'll see below here that we have some examples about how to do these things. In addition to what Jared's saying, you're you're gonna see under there, we tried to give some prompts here with, you know, short mission video. That's 1 example. That's 1 of several that you're going to see in terms of, tactics that have been proven to increase engagement throughout the content that we walk through. Jared, with that, I will hand it to you to unpack each of these. Hello, everybody. Thanks, Constance. I am back, and here to show you a few ways in Engage that we can kind of accomplish these first three steps in our first thirty days. So starting off with our welcome emails. I'm sure most of you are aware, but if you're not, we do have a a large repository of templates in our engage platform, that allow you to kind of, use some of these templates to reach out to your members, to these for these specific communications. So for instance here, I have an example of our welcome email letter, and this just starts off with a start your wellness journey, reserve your spot. Just some ways to kind of keep our members aware that they have indeed signed up for a membership with us. I think in our digital age, it's kind of easy to just sign up for something and forget about it. So we wanna make sure we're hitting them, kind of fast and hard and letting them know what some of those opportunities are in their first thirty days. Also, we have our SMS capabilities. So we can encourage them at time of sign up or through an additional email communication, to sign up for those SMS text so that they can stay up to date on updates, be it programs, facility closures, different things that they might need to know as a new member in the facility. Moving on to our upcoming events, we can utilize our Daxko mobile app, to keep them aware of all of the upcoming events in our facility. So see here, we have our current, classes and or, different camps that we have going on that they can keep track of through that mobile app. We can also, as I mentioned in that last slide, let them know about any closings. So here we have an inclement weather closing currently available in the app. So again, just ways to keep them connected with the facility at their ease through that mobile app, through that SMS, or through those campaigns that we're sending out to them. And then lastly, we always wanna look at personal staff outreach. So it's great to kind of set up a a group of members and send out a a mass communication to them. But really what creates that connection between your staff, your facility, and those members is personalizing those communications. So we have plenty of ways within Daxko engage to create tasks, based on that user's behavior. Maybe your staff members had a specific communication here with John about his interest in aquatics. We can actually tag that note, pull a report on the back end showing us that John is interested in aquatics programs, and then have somebody reach out to him specifically to let him know about swim lessons that are coming up, maybe about a new pool facility that we're building, on the side of the facility. So just kinda creating that more personalized connection with John instead of leaving him to feel as though that he's just part of a larger communication. And I will pass it back to Constance now for our next reflection question. Yes. Okay. So with that, that was a lot pretty quick, but I think 1 of the keys I really want everyone and, again, myself, I'm thinking about my own my own efforts right now, with, My Local Why is how often do we reach out after a new member joins? So so excuse me. How soon and how often? That's another good reflection question. I've seen this answer vary, so you're gonna see some options in the poll. Like, how quickly do you turn that around? And then we're not gonna specifically ask you this in a poll, but since we did go through tactics, that were email and then SMS as well, I would love it if you could put in the chat how many of you are using SMS or or text in addition to an outbound email communication. And I'd also love to know if anyone's making making a, making a call. Every once in a while, I actually joined a membership last year. And within I think it was a a day I got an email, and a week I got a welcome call. So I would love to know the call. So I'm seeing some here. Email within twenty four hours, call within thirty days, email twenty four hours, no text. Okay. Really interesting, you guys. I'm seeing the most common answer being within twenty four hours, and then the second most common is within that within that week. A couple votes for more than eight days. There's some really interesting data when it comes to, welcome emails and, again, just getting into the frequency around it, seeing that engagement rate. Again, if you could put in the chat if you have any experience, like, if you know how many are opening that welcome email, that's another really good reflection point as well. And if you are doing oh, personal postcard. I was just gonna ask if anyone's doing anything we haven't mentioned. So if you're reaching out through mobile, I love the personal post postcard. I got that for a program join once. I signed, my daughter up for a preschool program and got a postcard about that. That's a good memory. Thank you for that. Let's see. Twenty four hours postcard as well. Then if anyone has excellent data that they wanna share, in terms of their open rates, so it looks like we've got 1 there, 66% open rate in Jan. 0, new members. That is excellent. Well done on that 1. Please let us know if there's any tactics here that we will share with the group. Again, that was step number 1. Just to recap before we move on, that first thirty days, incredibly common welcome motion. Then after that, what Jared mentioned, was the, upcoming events. So in our welcome email, sometimes I often see those 2 things grouped together. 1 thing I really wanna call out is that some of the best practices that we see are actually to separate those communications. So it often takes, and research will show multiple times to receive a message to act on it. So 1 of the things that I wanna make sure, we kind of double click on is when we share anything, like an upcoming event or a way to get engaged, that we're doing that potentially more than once rather than grouping them together in an outbound communication. That's always good to do. But that staged ongoing, comms, again, perhaps 1 a week if that's your preferred cadence or if you have another 1 that you found to work at at your local level, that is something, that typically the more that we can communicate, again, the multichannel is another way to do it. So if we can do it not only multiple times, but through email and and the mobile app, if you leverage a mobile app solution, we're seeing, like, heightened interaction and, like, conversion to program, activity that way, which is not surprising. And then, again, just to reiterate that personalization, started this webinar off by saying the quality of the communication is where we're seeing the the, highest results in a different in addition to the motion itself. So I think that was a really good finding. And, Jared, I'm glad you ended on that 1 for that first month of their of their experience. Okay. So moving on to the second set of 3. So this, again, would roughly equate to month 2. 1 of the, things that we wanna do in this second month is, of course, see where we have not yet focused on their progress. So if those welcome emails and in your intake, perhaps at join, you got any areas of interest, now is the time to either reaffirm if you've already done it or reach out to them on those goals that they shared with you. So another reflection question, which, again, you can put in the chat, is if you have any of those again, I see some people doing surveys, if you did it at intake, if you did it as part of that first thirty days kind of asking how you were doing and also what that member is most interested in. And then, again, we get to personalization. So, the more unique to the individual this content is made, the higher the return rate. So I'm gonna say that again because I think we all know it. But, I've actually had an experience. I used to live in a really large city, and I was a member of a wonderful organization there. They welcomed me. I went with regularity, and I will tell you that they never did this step. So I, as a member, never got a a progress check-in. I still supported that organization because, again, I was I was, personally invested in the mission. But if I had been perhaps it was my neighborhood organization. I walked in on the street, and I didn't have that personal connection. I would not have gotten, these these motions, at all, engaging engaging, with that association. So, yes, I got a welcome. You know? Yes. I got a membership card. And then after that, I was done. So I I didn't get the second month, engagement, and was not asked any of these of these pieces. The other thing I will say is as Jared walks through some tips on exactly how to make these parts, accomplishable for you, 2 quick things. 1 is the goal here is to make this really easy on you and your staff. So whatever tooling you're using, 2 really important reasons why that matters. 1 is, it incentivizes everybody to to not only get this out the door, but to use the results. So where we also see potential disengagement with your organization or up engagement with your organization is something that we call, many of you may be familiar with a concept called close the loop. So if I ask a survey question and I get great information from you or I let you know my progress goals and we do a wonderful intake and I don't close that loop with you, Typically, even sometimes sometimes people are aware of that gap, and sometimes they just feel it. And and they know they gave you some information, and they're not quite sure they had an expectation of what you're going to do with it. But either way, regardless of which camp they fall in there, when you go to ask them how you're doing, it does affect ratings. So if you have that intake, this is the place to start showing them and reflect back to them that you heard them. And that is where we really see people who perhaps have an additional check-in that they may not have have. Perhaps they have higher engagement with your materials. They, you know, may have been thinking that they wouldn't utilize all the great things that you offer, and now they will. So when we can do that quality step of, again, mirroring back and closing that loop with this intake, whether it's at this stage or earlier, that is where we're seeing that you know, I mentioned if you do this well, it can increase your retention up to 23%. It's those kind of execution details that in our data are really showing some exceptional results. So with that, I will have Jared walk through, some exactly how, to execute on these examples. Thanks, Constance. Hello again, everybody. So as Constance mentioned, just going to walk through, some easy tools and areas, that we can use to focus on these 3 areas. The first, of course, being our micro feedback loops. And the easiest version of this is, of course, going to be our membership survey. So these are sent out on on your behalf to your members every six months, and those results are loaded directly into the Engage platform for your review. Now it's easy to kind of just see these results and make action on them and move on with your day, but there's, some more ways that we can we can specify the the action results from these surveys. 1 of those being our detractor alerts was actually create a task, for your branch champion, to reach out directly to that member if they come back as a score of 6 or below. So So, again, as Constance mentioned, kind of closing out that loop. Of course, seeing that survey and actioning on it is important, but we wanna make sure that we're following up with those members to let them know that their voices have been heard and that actions have been taken. Another way to do this is through the use of this comments question at the bottom. So as those members are filling out this survey and giving us their their commentary feedback, we can actually look at those comments and speak directly to our members based on those comments that they're leaving. So if we see that maybe John has had a bad experience, with 1 of our yoga classes, we can we can reach out to John directly and mention that bad experience, kinda get some more information, and make John feel like his feedback is not just thrown into, a data pool and kinda left to be there, but that it's being read, it's being heard, and being actioned upon. So some good opportunities there in using our membership survey, to close out those feedback loops with your members. Next up, we have our progress check ins. So this is about updating members on their progress in cheap fits to maintain motivation. And 1 of our easy ways to do this is in our membership profile card. We can see here that we are able to view John's facility usage. I think a lot of the time, people think that this step can take a lot of effort, pulling reports on the back end, you know, reaching out to members. But this could be something as simple as looking at this facility usage as John is checking in. And if you see that he's been in 1 time every day for the past week, now you could say, great job on your on your, facility usage over the last week, John. We see you really keeping up. We see you sticking to those goals. If you see on the opposite end of that, if somebody hasn't shown up in a while and we're seeing now that they've come in today to work out or be in the facility, we can say something as easy as welcome back. You know, maybe it's been a while, but we're glad to have you back. So not, always thinking about the high effort ways that we can praise our members and do those check ins, but just easy, low effort tools, that we can use to make them feel like they're being, watched and also appreciated in that way. And then lastly, we have personalized next steps. So now that we've kind of gotten the idea of who our members are, what their goals are, what they're trying to achieve, we can look to start targeting them through our lead management platform, for more specific ways and programs that we can send to them to help them achieve, again, those goals that they're looking at. So through here, we'll see I have a a example playbook set up that kind of walks through someone who may be interested in an aquatics program, maybe some swim lessons. Maybe we've talked to John, and we he's mentioned some interest in learning how to swim for the summer. This will allow you to set up this playbook so that John can walk through these flexible steps throughout these stages to hopefully get him signed on for a swim lesson lesson session. I say flexible because we can edit these steps or skip over some of these steps as we're having in real time conversations with John so that he's not just going through a a workflow that he feels like he's actually being nurtured and cared for. And all of these will also create a lead for John to then be assigned to a staff member who will work John through this playbook. The reason that's nice is John will then feel like he has an advocate in the facility who's helping him achieve this goal of hopefully learning to swim and get into those swim lessons over this summer. So some great ways to sustain a engagement, through that thirty one to sixty day period, for your members. And I will pass it back to Constance who will give us another reflection question. Oh, I do love these. The engagement is is fantastic. I love these polls. Yes. And we have another 1 for you. Okay. So as we move into the, you know, that sixty to one hundred day mark, how many of you transition out of what Jared was just speaking to to promoting, and we call it, like, a conversion from a membership to a deeper engagement? So having that member either, you know, register for a program or perhaps sign up for PT. If there's anyone who my favorite 1 is to ask them to donate, if you haven't already, or volunteer. So if you can put that in the poll. This is fantastic. Okay. I'm seeing about half and half. A little bit more yes than no. That is this is so okay. There we go. 20 no or excuse me. 20 yes, 10 no. Okay. We're jumping about a third, a third no, 2 thirds yes. I love these results and and trends. At a conference last year, 1 of my favorite examples of this is that they had put a a sheet, a 1 sheet at the front desk, to remind, staff as people came in, just to communicate a little bit about, did they know that their organization, you know, their their j or their y or their community center was a nonprofit? Like, did they know that? That was 1 of their metrics in this phase where if they hadn't already communicated that, was the new member aware and have they been reminded, about the mission of the organization, and that was something they held their staff accountable to. That was just 1 of my absolute favorite ones. Okay. So in this last 3 stages and, again, going off the the proven order of events here, these would be the last 3. So if you welcome that member and you've been watching their engagements and they are still with you after sixty days, I think we know particularly this time of year in Jan. 0, if you go through a Jan. 0 join cycle at your organization, you're monitoring it, or most of us are, at that thirty day mark, that sixty day mark, and then now is the time I am here. It's the deepening loyalty phase. And so statistics will show that if you get past that sixty day mark and they're still here, this is an excellent opportunity. You have a bit of a fork in the road here. These are either gonna become you know, they're gonna continue what they started doing, or you have an opportunity to actually deepen their involvement with your organization. So oftentimes, this means that they've either have a habit of, either maintaining their membership in some way, hopefully actively, engaging with your organization by this point, in the cycle, you know, to month 3 and into month 4. And the ones who I mentioned at the beginning ultimately are with you a year from now, two years from now. This is the difference maker and in this order at this time. And we can interchange these terms a little bit. Every mission driven organization or membership based organization calls these slightly different things. So please go with the topic area of them and how it resonates best for you. I mentioned that example at the beginning of, an organization that I talked to at a conference last year where they held their staff accountable to that. Do you know that we're a charity? Like, do you know that we're actually raising money to build that playground, right there outside or that we not only provide, you know, child watch while you're here in this particular example, but we have a a head start program around the corner over here. So those are examples of what we would call higher purpose. And knowing everybody on this call and just seeing who is in the chat right now, I have no doubt that you do this in some ways. The takeaway here that I really wanna underline is that within this window, if a member can go and tell someone else at this point, like, I I have lunch with Jared and I say, hey. I I joined the j, and oh, by the way, did you know they do this? And I'm able to articulate that, and you can do it at this point, in the cycle. You have that level of engagement that is shown to drive retention. So we all know that. I think I think that's probably not news, but just what particularly is critical is that intentionality within your outbound steps, to make sure that that's happening right within this window. So that's an example of the higher purpose. Ambassador programs go by many different names. You can cut sometimes these are as simple as a refer a friend. Sometimes, this is, asking for, again, you know, whatever level engagement, where they're able to answer any question about you. That's what we're going for there and just deciding based on your mission and how you best serve your community what something like this looks like for you in a way that's not only about that person, that they know that they could, contribute, in a different way and may be rewarded for doing so. So sometimes, like, the way that my current organization does this is, they gave me 3 guest passes to hand out. Very lightweight, very entry level. It certainly gets more sophisticated than that. But that's 1 example of how you can have that ripple effect, with that member who's at this engagement touch point stage right here. The last 1, and, it's it's so many examples of this. So many examples of this. My local Y did this with Miracle League recently is that both through our current members and our new members, we told, a story of a volunteer opportunity that was happening right at that moment that was very approachable. So, again, in this window, when they're when they're still in that less than one hundred days, sometimes it's an active volunteer ask, and sometimes it's a simple volunteer awareness. So come and see what we're doing. It may or may not, require we're not I'm not seeing in the data that it requires necessity to for them to convert to a volunteer, but even attendance at a volunteer event is really shown right there to be an incredible success metric of that long term retention strategy. So, again, like everything that we've gone through, the quality of these asks and how accessible they feel, is what is driving the positive retention rates with organizations that put strategies to this. So I'm gonna ask you to think about that and share any examples that you have of doing these things in a way, that are not only available to your members, but have that magic word, which is accessibility. So I may not be ready to sign up for a four hour volunteer slot, but I am ready to stop by an event that you guys are having. I may not be ready to fundraise for you, maybe I am, but I am ready to give you $5 this week. That level of of, first step if they haven't taken it already. So with that, Jared, I would love for you to share a few, tactical examples. Absolutely. Thanks again, confidence. So first hitting that higher purpose area, something as simple as letting our members know what their donation goes to impact, can be a good way to to engage help them engage in that donation piece. So we'll see here 1 of our initiative templates includes some talking points around the impact that our donation has and also gives them an easy way to, to give that donation if they would like to. So creating kind of that call to action in those emails, using those email templates is very useful in kinda connecting them with our higher purpose and deepening that loyalty. Also, moving to our ambassador programs. Constance actually did a great job of mentioning earlier our refer a friend template. So we can always ask our members to refer a friend if, we feel like they are we're trying to deepen that loyalty if they we feel like they are good advocates for us. Including that in an email with that link, sometimes even offering an incentive for that refer a friend is a great way to start off those ambassador programs. We also have, you'll see to the left of that, a image of a note that I've, created for our members here just sharing a personal story, from our member, Ali, and then using that hashtag share your story. That hashtag is important because that will actually allow us to pull a keyword report on the back end within Daxko operations, that will allow us to see all of the comments that have been tagged with that share your story. And then these can be shared either in the facility, maybe through a monthly newsletter, just using those members as ambassadors in the in the sharing of their story to kind of gain confidence with the rest of our member base. And then lastly, touching on those volunteer roles, another great initiative template that we can use here is our volunteer opportunities initiative template. Again, it's very similar to our donation email. Just letting them know ways, that they can join us to volunteer, what those, volunteer opportunities do to impact the community, and making it, again, very simple and easy for them to find that. So instead of having to send them, to another landing page, click this button here. That'll take them to those volunteer opportunities, and help them again deepen that loyalty, with us as a facility. And for 1 final team, I will go ahead and pass back to Constance for our reflection question. Yes. Last 1. And I'm loving these polls. I want to, now have polls in most of the meetings that I have. This is fantastic information from you all. I mentioned this earlier, and we specifically called, this 1 out because we're seeing this as a growing trend, across the partners that we work with, whether you're YMC, a JCC, a a community center of any kind. You know, if we're working with nonprofits, we always want this to be front and center. So if you could, answer the poll, please, of of where you are on closing the loop with your members knowing that they can donate to you. I'm seeing a lot of different strategies in addition to the ones, that I said about that, front desk accountability for them mentioning it to members. We have many different ways that our, partners and people that we work with choose to communicate this. Sometimes clearly, several of you may may use a membership model, may explain this as part of your membership value and the difference that you make in your communities. Why we mentioned this 1 specifically is there's a growing trend, in nonprofit membership based organizations to have a concept of a recurring donation model in addition to their membership. So if that is you or if that's someone that has been, someone in your community doing that or you're considering doing that, that has been a really, interesting, conversation in recent years, moving from my membership being equivalent to my donation to me being a member with a recurring donation. And I'm looking at the votes, and it this is not surprising. Seems like we've got about you know, we're very evenly split between all of them, more than half, less than half, and mostly don't know, which is a really fascinating, data point. Again, not surprising, very nationally, consistent with other results that we're seeing. 1 of the things I would say is that the concept of of however your organization chooses to communicate the value of their mission, and where they do that tends to change this answer. Right? In the data itself, and I've been looking at this for about fourteen years now, it has not moved much from the statistic I'm about to tell you. With member based organizations where I'm I'm paying a membership due or fee in some way, and then I'm also asked to donate on top of that, there's oftentimes a 6 to 9% penetration rate, meaning it that's a fancy word to say, like, yes. Someone said yes to that. Like, I'm paying you a recurring monthly fee, for access to all the amazing things you do, and I'm gonna donate to you. Exceptional organizations. Like, as in the highest, case study you can get to will get in the twenties. When you go much beyond that, it tends to be a very, concerted, you know, leadership level strategy, to move that number. And it takes it takes intentionality in this particular phase. So that's been some really interesting data to watch. Alright. We've only got a couple more slides here. We're gonna wrap up our key takeaways and also leave some time for questions. Just a very quick summary. We've covered a lot and a little bit of time, and 1 of the things that I hope you've been able to take away, is, again, that word intentionality around the stages and the timing of those stages, to increase your not only engagement with the members that have recently joined, but that ever critical retention number at each of those, date marks. So the the 9 stages broken up by months, those are very on purpose in order to make sure that that member is still here the next thirty days and then the next thirty days after that. And then, of course, ultimately, as we've said, are there for that one year renewal rate. So for that to be hopefully something that you see yourself and that you can either reinforce, hey. I'm I'm doing this or you got a few new ideas, in those areas because if you're doing them in that order, you're on the right track. The other piece, of course, is with the practical applications, how easy is this currently for your staff to do, or not do? That's always a reflection point, how many hours this is taking for you, and are there ways for that to be, more efficient for your staff or it to be automated? And then the multichannel receptivity, which is, again, a very fancy way of saying, how am I reaching my members? Am I talking to them face to face? Am I emailing them? Am I giving them a phone call? Do they get a postcard? Do they get a text? The last data point I will give you is that text has the highest engagement, rates of any channel, that we're seeing. So even if I'm not in your facility, there tends to be a 94% interaction rate with an SMS text that you would send a member. So if you are not leveraging a mobile tool to do that and it seems like it's not necessary to your strategy, I would encourage you to to try it, to see how much it it moves the needle. Because just statistically, statistically, it is the highest engaged, in terms of open rates, interaction rate, click through rates. It beats all of the other all of the other outbound channels. And then, of course, mission focus. So quality was another big word on this call. The content is up to you. Right? Like, how how what that text says, what that email says, and how compelling it is. Those are things that if you're not already testing out different ways to say something, or trying it cold with someone that you know who could give you feedback, it's a really obvious, way to approach it, but it's very critical, and always important to see where we can can kind of, reflect on what will get the biggest response. So we are at time. But if you have, a couple more minutes, I would like to invite you to keep answering those questions. And, we are going to also be giving you a survey about this webinar so that you can give us feedback if you go on to the next slide, about what you hope to see, anything that you've learned, anything that you would like to receive more information from. We've got some experts behind the scenes. Thank you, Erica. Thank you, Ben. Thank you, Sarah and Hillary, if you've seen their names pop up in the chat answering your questions. So for those of you who've been engaging in the q and a, please continue to do so until you are out of time. And we can absolutely commit, to closing the loop with any of you whose questions we have not had an opportunity to answer. So in the last thirty seconds here, I'm gonna leave you with 2 quick things. It it would not be an engagement webinar if we didn't give you some more options because there's so many good ideas, in terms of tips in this area. So here's just a few more, that have actually we've seen in our data. If you want to to go even deeper in this area, these tend to be, again, that that gold standard for how we can increase engagement. They do take additional, effort, of course. Oftentimes, when you when you ask, members to pass along your story, it does take an additional effort to give them copy to send via text. You'll see that peer to peer texting or a mentor system, which is that bring somebody along and make that make that not only something that you ask them to do, but something that you have a program around. And we all know the difference between that. Right? Like like, hey. We're gonna have an organic engagement here versus we have a way for you to easily do this. So I I see very different versions of that, around organizations. Certainly, anything. Another fancy word for you, if you wanna take it back to your organization, which is gamification. If you wanna Google that 1, that's the that's the challenge, piece over there. Members, depending on your offerings, they love a good challenge. They love to have a goal and say they met it if you give it to them. That's another way to, that's another way to have that interaction, and get those sometimes preferences and things to follow-up on with them. Alright. Our final piece I will leave you here, and thank you for those who hung on an extra couple minutes, is that I don't wanna close out this discussion, without letting you know of ways to get more information. Again, either if you are using Engage and you wanna be able to have all these things easily set up for you to make your your staff's life, you know, touch a button rather than 10. We all want that. So definitely reach out to us, and, you know, schedule that appointment if you want if you want any assistance walking through and setting these things up. Or if you're not, and you want to know more ways about how to incorporate these ideas, please also reach out. We are happy, to walk you through options to make, these outcomes more achievable for you. And then we have not yet spoken much, about, click to cancel. So if you're familiar with the FTC ruling click to cancel, please give a shout out in the chat. And if you're not, I'd like to make you aware of it. It is it is a national ruling that, means that if you have an online join motion, with your organization, in year, around the May 0 timeline, you are now required, to provide a just as easy way for them to cancel their membership. So if I can join your membership in a click, I should be able to cancel it in a click. Again, that is outside of everyone on this webinar. That is a national ruling. For those of you who are affected by that or have questions by that, we will be making a resource available in follow-up to this. Certainly, it's a very related discussion. As well as if you are a Daxko operations user, I know we have several, on this webinar. Our team is actively developing very easily implemented options for you to, be in adherence with this, rule as it is rolled out. So the team is working actively, with maybe perhaps several of you on the call around how you wanna do that. And if not, we are working on both resources and then a way for you to decide at your organization how you can best, meet this ruling. So if you aren't aware of it, please check out those resources. If you are, please check out those resources and know that we're coming. So, again, thank you so much for your time. Thank you, Jared, for being our product expert. Thank you for the exceptional engagement in the chat, and for our for our team that have been answering questions, behind the scenes. So appreciate all of you and all the work that you do in your communities, and thank you for joining us today.
